Watch for rental listing scams
Search the address and compare listings. Check who the owner or management company is on your own. Be wary of rent that’s much lower than nearby places, or of anyone rushing you to pay. Don’t pay by gift card, cryptocurrency or wire transfer. Read the FTC’s rental scam guidance.
