BROKEN LEASE RENTER RESOURCES

Compare Broken Lease Apartment Options

Use this broken lease apartment comparison worksheet to compare as many as three communities, their written cost quotes and your screening questions before you apply.

You don’t need to sign in or share personal information. This worksheet doesn’t send your entries to our team or save them for later. Print it or save it as a PDF before you leave, and keep any saved copy private.

Your entries here are your own notes. They aren’t a checked listing or an approval decision. Ask the leasing office if it will look at an application with your broken lease, balance and rental history. Our team can help you figure out which communities to contact.

Community 1

Enter Community 1 costs

Base rent for a regular full month, before other charges.

Utilities, parking, pet rent, insurance and anything else you pay every month. Leave out guarantor installments. Track those on their own.

All the rent the community wants up front, including prorated rent and next month’s rent if they require it.

Only the refundable cash security deposit. A provider fee or insurance premium is a separate charge.

Application, administration, risk and provider application fees. Include each charge once.

Only the part of the guarantor or approval service price due before you move in.

Utility setup, moving expenses, upfront pet fees and any other one time charges not entered above.

The full written provider quote, including any installment plan charges. The calculator won’t add this to your upfront costs a second time.

Money you’ve already paid toward the upfront items above. Don’t include payments on an old broken lease balance.

Compare more than the lowest number

Charges you don’t know about yet can make a quote look cheaper than it is. Before you decide, confirm the refundable deposit, nonrefundable fees and installment due dates. Check that the provider is accepted, and confirm the lease length and the full cost to move. A community saying it will look at your application isn’t final approval.
